2013 Frankfurt Book Fair
NAVER Webtoon
NAVER set up a webtoon exhibition hall at Frankfurt Book Fair, a global publishing fair in 2013, to support webtoon artists' global expansion.
The NAVER Webtoon exhibition hall was designed with a cartoon concept. Visitors were greeted by a speech bubble sign at the entrance. The wall was designed with the concept of a square frame of a large cartoon on the front so that visitors would enjoy the famous lines of a popular cartoon at a glance. It also provided mobile devices so that people who came and went could sit for a while and experience webtoon services. This helped more than 20,000 visitors visit during the five-day book fair.
In addition, through this exhibition, we conducted copyright consultations with publishing officials from around the world on about 30 NAVER webtoons, and we were able to promote the competitiveness and marketability of the works.
