NAVER Data Center Gak

Data Center 'Gak' is a space that can store vast amounts of digital data from NAVER, the largest portal service in Korea, and Korea's Internet history.
The basic concept of the data center ‘Gak’ brand mark is the ‘chest of data’, which means to safely store valuable knowledge and information.
The signage system is inspired by unique wooden windowpanes and internal structures of Janggyeong Gak, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Various application designs were carried out in the PR hall to show the rational thinking and judgment of the brand mark, and the will to keep it safe.
NAVER's service exhibition by year was installed in the PR hall, so that visitors can see various server equipment used from the beginning of the service to the present, and also the history of the service at a glance.
The data center 'Gak' uses waste heat from servers to grow plants, which were transferred to a brand-mark-shaped pot and distributed to visitors as souvenirs.
It also designed LEED-certified signatures and data center leaflets to let visitors know more.
All of these helped recognize the data center 'Gak' brand.
